<p>Every year, the National Museum of the Pacific War hosts a symposium, focusing on a specific period or location during the war. This year’s symposium, &#8220;Siege and Bombardment: War of Attrition Against Japan Led by Submarines and B-29s,&#8221; will be held September 19 and 20, 2009.</p>
<p>The Grand Opening of the newly expanded George H.W. Bush Gallery will be held December 7, 2009, on the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.</p>
